Christina’s Closet

Christina’s Closet is a clothing bank service managed by the KUCSC, originally established at Brescia University College, a former UWO Affiliate College. Following Brescia's closure in May 2024, Christina’s Closet has relocated to King’s University College. This service aims to address clothing insecurity and continues its mission in its new home at King’s.

Location and Access

Christina’s Closet is open to all King’s students and is located in the Student Zone (W022), in the basement of Wemple, near the Cafeteria. To access the closet, students can confidentially request a booking with the VPSA, who will provide supervised access to the clothing.

Clothing Available

The stock at Christina’s Closet was originally focused on traditionally feminine, lightly used formal wear, often donated by students after events like the Brescia Ball. However, the inventory is always changing and includes traditionally masculine clothing as well.

Donations

New donations are always welcome! We accept gently-used, appropriate clothing. Donations can be arranged by booking with the VPSA or by placing items in the hamper next to the closets in W022. Watch for donation campaigns throughout the year for a chance to win prizes!

Students using this service are encouraged to reach out to Joanna Bedggood, Manager of Student Wellness, for further support from the University and the City.
